What would Norwalk be like without its Senior Center? Where would the more than 5,000 Norwalk seniors – many homebound - we serve each year go to get essential services like door-to-door transportation, meals, home visits, evidence-based exercise, assistance, and a place to                  socialize?

Please help make sure we don’t have to find out.

Over the past year, our expenses have increased by 8% while our funding decreased by 8%. We receive less than 50% of our budget from the government, and that amount has not increased in 3 years. Without your support of the Norwalk Senior Center’s mission, we cannot continue.

​

Your generous support helps provide an essential safety net. From Meals-on-Wheels, a ride to a doctor, financial assistance, or help securing safe housing, your donations make a difference.  Just having a place to go and socialize is important. The CDC says social isolation significantly increases “a person’s risk of premature death from all causes…(and is) associated with about a 50% increased risk of dementia.”
