Free Tax Return Preparation
To help file your 2021 tax return the Norwalk Senior Center has teamed up with SimplifyCT, the same group of IRS-certified volunteers that have been preparing your taxes for years.
In Person
Volunteer Tax Counselors will be onsite between
January 24th and April 15th:
Fridays
9:00 am – 4:00 pm (last appointment at 3:30)

Virtually
Volunteer Tax Counselors will also be online on between
January 24th and April 15th:
A Smartphone or tablet w/camera, or a computer w/scanner, will be needed.
What You’ll Need
Government issued Identification (e.g., Driver’s License, US Passport, CT Identification Card)
Social Security / ITIN cards for all household members
Tax documents, such as:
W-2s (Wages)
1099 INT/DIV (Interest/Dividends)
1099Rs (Pensions, IRAs)
SSA-1099 (Social Security)
1095-A (Health Insurance)
1099-G (Unemployment)
1099-NEC (Self employment)
IRS Letter 6419 – If Advance Child Tax Credits Received
IRS Letter 6495 – Stimulus Recap
2019 & 2020 tax returns if possible
